Show Facility
O’Connor Field House has a floor space of 21,400 sq. ft and ceiling height of 21 ft. The
building has heating and cooling available. There is plenty of parking around the building
including 15 full services RV hook-ups that are west of O’Connor Field House for the
estimated cost of $21/day. There is dining within walking distance to a couple mile drive.
O’Connor Field House is located in Caldwell, Idaho about 27 miles west of Boise on I84.
The facility is only about 2 miles from the freeway. The Boise Airport (BOI) has service to
the following airlines: United, American, American West, Delta, Horizon/Alaska,
Northwest, Southwest, Frontier, Continental, and US Airways. Members of the PCF will
provide shuttle service for a fee from the airport to the show grounds for those traveling by
air. Exhibitors must make arrangements prior to arrival.
The show will be a non-cooped show, so exhibitors will be keeping their cavies in carriers.
For ease of finding animals for exhibit, all exhibit cavies will be place within their
respective assigned exhibitor number area. Exhibitors will be given labels to attach to
their show animals carriers. Exhibitors can purchase extra table space for grooming and
sales animals.
There is no charge to sell animals, but you will be able to purchase extra table space. at
$7.50 for 1/2 table. Space for exhibited cavies are included in the entry fee. If you are
selling anything except cavies, you will need to purchase booth space.
Booth space is 10 x 10 feet and will be available for $35 - that includes one table and two
chairs. Extra tables and chairs will be available to rent for $15 for tables and 1.50 cents for
chairs. Vendors may bring their own extra tables but should stay in the area allotted. The
booth fee includes a free business card size ad or $10 off a larger size ad.
On Sunday there will be a double open show and one youth shows.
We have decided to do a simple a catalogue after all with room for ads.
The catalogue is $5

On behalf of American Cavy Breeders Association, I would like to thank the Pioneer Cavy Club, their members, and all those that took the incentive to volunteer the many hours of dedication in preparation to host the 2012 ACBA Specialty in Caldwell, Idaho. There is always so much responsibility for a club to take on this task for the good of the Fancy. Due to the Pioneer Cavy Club’s dedication and tireless efforts, I am anticipating a very well- organized Specialty. Your work has not gone unnoticed. This will be a very busy fast-paced three days with a full schedule which will include Youth Royalty, an Official Judges Conference, and also the time to hold one of the two yearly ACBA Board Meetings, and hear from our nine districts, the ACBA’s membership committee chairpersons and co chairs. I strongly encourage all members to attend and/or support these undertakings. The ACBA Specialty gives the members of the ACBA the opportunity to discuss any new issues as well to resolve any unfinished business through these meetings. My personal thanks to all exhibitors that will attend, the judges, and all the members that donated toward raffle items and trophies. And last but not least, a big thank you to and all those who have contributed their countless hours, efforts, and creativity to make this another unforgettable ACBA Specialty. May your time at the 2012 ACBA Specialty be exhilarating, educational, entertaining, and most important, a very good time to put names with faces, as well as make new friends and spend time with old ones in the fancy.
Thank you, Jim Hupp, ACBA President.
