Hello and welcome to the ACBA Specialty.  
All the youth that will participate in the
youth contests are all winners for
participating.  Please contact me if you
have any questions about any of the
contests.  A special thank you to all that
support the youth through donation and
support.  

ACBA Board Meeting

Officiating
During the ACBA Board meeting, club
officers, district directors and committee
chairs will be taking care of ACBA
business. The meeting will be inside the
showroom.  It is open to all, but only the
board may vote.

Official ARBA Judge’s Conference
Friday 6:30-9:30 pm
Especially for the continued education of
judges, but may also be of interest to the
general exhibitor and breeder. It will be held
in the showroom.

Cavy Sales
Exhibitors may keep sale animals in their
assigned exhibitor area.  All exhibit animals
will be assigned an area and shall be on the
tables and easy access for table runners.  
Extra table space may be purchased at the
rate of $7.50 per 1/2 table or $15 per table
to display your sale animals.  Exhibitors will
be responsible for care, cleaning and sales
of the animals.  Exhibitors need to keep
with in their assigned area and may use the
space under the table for storage.  Any
animals, supplies, or equipment not
removed from the show room after check-
out on Monday at 10AM will become
property of the PCF.

Saturday Lunch – Baked-Potato Bar
Noon, showroom,  by Oodles of Animals 4-
H Club
We invite you to enjoy our area’s famed
baking potatoes with plenty of toppings to
choose from.  You can even bring your
creation with you to the membership
meeting.  Please sign-up ahead of time so
there will be plenty for everyone.  Cost will
be $6.00, drinks included.
ACBA General Membership Meeting

Officiating
You are encouraged to attend to better
understand the workings of your
organization and to actively influence the
decisions that are reached and will later
influence you as a member. There will be a
vote on the location of the 2014 Specialty
show. The meeting will be in the
showroom.

ACBA Specialty Raffle

The ACBA raffle helps fund the ACBA
Youth.  There will be lots of nice items to
choice from. Items can be dropped off
during showroom opening hours until
Saturday at 10AM. Drawing will be held at
about 3PM on Saturday.

Marten Challenge
There will be a Marten Challenge during
Specialty on Saturday afternoon, April 21,
2012.  All breeds will compete together for
Best Marten (judged on overall quality) and
Best Marten Markings (judged only on
markings)! It will be a jackpot show.  
Entry fee is $3.00 per cavy and they do not
have to be entered in the other shows to
participate.  The Martens do not need to be
official varieties.  Half of the entry fee will
be award to the winners as follows:

Best Marten - 30%                        Best
Marten Markings – 30%
Res. Marten -20%                        Res
Marten Markings – 20%

The other half of the entry fee will go to
Pioneer Cavy Fanciers to help pay for the
judges, etc.

Debbie Hello Memorial Award
This award is for Best Any Other Marked
American.  Debbie was a cavy enthusiast
who raised (among other) Broken colored
Americans.  She was Canadian, and died
from Cystic Fibrosis several years ago.  
The award will be a ceramic bowl plus as
cash prize (minimum of $50).

ACBA Banquet and Youth Awards
Bon Appetit will cater the banquet at
College of Idaho, within walking distance
from the showroom.
The cost of the banquet is $22 for adults,
$20 for youth 6 to 18, and $18 for youth 5
and under.
Dinner will be buffet style.  Dinner
includes a choice of Pan Fried Dijon
Chicken with Bourbon Dijon Glaze,
Almond Trout with Amaretto Butter, and
Vegetarian Stuffed Portobella Mushroom.
It comes with Romaine with dried
cranberry, toasted Almond & orange
supreme, wild rice pilaf, seasonal
vegetables, and Idaho’s special desert.  
Beverages include with the meal are
lemonade, hot coffee and tea. There will be
a no-host bar from 6-9 pm.
Program includes announcement of Youth
Awards and door prizes.
Pioneer Cavy Fanciers Raffle

Please consider bringing an item to help
support the PCF raffle. Items can be
dropped off at the PCF booth during
showroom opening hours until Sunday at
9AM.  The PCF will have theme baskets to
raffle off, including an Idaho basket. Please
contact Marla to arrange donations and get
more information. Drawing will be held at
about 2PM on Sunday.

Silent Cavy Auction
Sponsored by Pioneer Cavy Fanciers
PCF very much appreciates cavies donated
to the silent auction. We ask that all
donated animals are healthy, weaned, max
1 year old and of show quality. If the
animal is pedigreed, please provide it for
the auction; otherwise we ask that the
approximate age of the animals is provided
in writing along with other information you
find relevant. The owner/donor (o/d)
receives 50% of the final bid, and the PCF
receives the other 50%. The o/d will be
paid as soon as animals are paid for and
removed. Animals without bids will be
given back to the o/d. Each cavy will have
a form on which bidders record their bids.
Highest bidder at the time the auction ends
is granted ownership of the cavy upon
payment.

The o/d is responsible for all care until the
close of the auction, including carrier(s) to
house them in. The show committee
reserves the right to remove/refuse any
cavy for health or other unspecified
reasons at any point during the auction.
The auction area opens Friday at 1:30PM.
The auction will close around 3:00PM
Sunday.

Last Supper
Vallivue 4-H Club
The last supper will be at approximately 7:
00 PM at the Best Western’s banquet
room. Please ask for location at show
secretary table, and make sure to sign up
by 10AM, Saturday.  The meal will include
tri tip beef, potatoes, beans, rolls and
cobbler for desert.  The cost is $15 which
includes tax and tip.
