Vets that do not know much about guinea pigs may
accidentally kill them by using medical products that are
harmful to them. Make sure you use a vet that has
special knowledge of guinea pigs.
The foremost guinea pig vet in our area is Dr. Mike
Koob. (he also specializes in reptiles, I believe, and
possibly in other "exotic" critters). He is at the Idaho
Humane Society Clinic.
Dr. Dawn Sessions at Broadway Vet also specializes in
guinea pigs. The phone number is 344-5592.
I have heard of other vets in the area but don't know their
names.
