Meeting minutes from Dec 21, 2009
Pioneer Cavy Fanciers
Minutes taken by Stine, secretary.
Present: Dana Kolstad, Linda Loucks, Stine Theede, Marla Schaefer, Megan Buxton, Nancy by phone.
Treasury report: Dana presented the Treasury report and it was accepted. A couple of people had bills to submit, and it
was passed that they were reimbursed.
It was agreed to allow Dana to pay taxes and the charter.
Old business
The minutes from the last meeting were approved as corrected.
February 27th show – Ron is judge for one show; Nancy is in charge of Royalty; Dana and Linda will co-judge one show
and Nancy be best in Show judge for that show; Dana and Linda will be superintendent for the opposite entries; Ron will
judge youth show.
February 1 will be the closing date for royalty entries/applications.
It was decided that the pet show has a budget of $15 and the royalty of $50.
Nancy will try to get the royalty information to Stine to put on the website by Jan.1
New business
Linda is heading a committee for researching new ribbons and awards. Megan and Marla are members.
March 27th – show in Ontario by Snake River Rabbit and Cavy Club. One open and one youth show. We have booked
Rosalie Beard for our judge for the open show. Linda will judge the youth show. Dana is secretary for both shows; Linda
superintendent for open; Marla superintendent for youth.
At the time of the meeting, we were waiting for confirmation whether the show is a go. Our club will be paying $20 for the
facility.
Car pooling was suggested.
September 25th show – The secretary has changed to Megan and Debbie Buxton. Marla is superintendent. Dana won’t
be there. It was decided to rent the small building again.
Steve is set to judge if we decide we want him – it was agreed that we ask him to move ahead and look for affordable air
fare.
It was decided to close the magnet sign project.
Our old tables were sold for $50 for all 5.
New officers
Janet was elected head of election committee and Sharon member.
It was decided to put this year’s officers on the ballot again in the same positions except taking off Brittany Bellows and
add Lee Penrod.
Thank you cards were read.
Newsletter – Stine needs to put a new issue together. Ideas were discussed.
Next meeting planned during dinner at the Feb show.
