Companion dog training
This class teaches you and your dog the basic commands and behaviors that create the
foundation for a well-mannered companion and a good relationship between you and
your dog plus a lot of other things that will make your dog owning experience easier
and more rewarding.

This is for you if
a) you just got a new dog, no matter the age (though I highly recommend attending a
Puppy Kindergarten first with a puppy less than 5 months old),
b) you went through puppy kindergarten and want to continue the good work,
c) you haven't taken your dog to class before,
d) you and your dog can do with a refresher course.

I encourage the whole family  to attend unless you, the adult, find it will be too
distracting for you to follow the class properly.
* Attendants will have to bring proof
of vaccinations or titers to the intro
lesson.

I support Jean Dodds' vaccination
protocol of minimal vaccines so go
here to see what you need:
Protocol.
I do not require kennel cough
vaccine, but a dog that is sneezing or
may otherwise have the potential for
spreading disease is required to stay
home from class.

You can use a
form to send me the
information I need from all
participants.

Payment will be expected at the intro
meeting. If you need to pay in
installments, please contact me to
discuss the options.

If you miss a lesson, you simply take it
next time it is available, for free of
course. If you wish to repeat a single
session, you can do so for an hourly
fee.

Many dogs show fear and/or aggression towards specific things or in
certain situations. Aggressive displays towards other dogs or people
can be particularly problematic and limit the dog's and the family's
activities. The fears can be eased and the behavior can be modified
with the right techniques, and this class gives you the tools to
continue socializing your dog appropriately on your own or in group
classes.
We don't expect all dogs to become "normal" but you can make
great improvement.

After you have gone through the class there will be regular,
supervised sessions you can attend to continue working on the issues.
When enough people are available
and show interest, I will arrange
classes and workshops that focus on a
specific issue each like Recall, Fear and
reactivity, Anxiety, Barking, Tire Your
Dog with Brain Work, and more, that
you can attend to work more
intensely on problems/activities you
specifically want to address.
Since I currently do not have access to a facility to hold classes in I am not
offering any.
