Jinx is a small herding dog that we think
is a Border collie/Australian
kelpie/Australian cattle dog mix. He was
brought into the shelter as a stray and
he was probably born in or around July
2009. As a puppy he was p;aced in the
IDAPI program where he was trained by
inmates and when he got out he still had
serious fear based aggression towards
strangers so we took him into foster
and worked with him. Now you wouldn't
guess at his previous issue but he has
other issues that make him a challenging
dog to live with even though they are
balanced by amazing talent and
wonderful traits, but after more than a
year with us and several failed adoptions
and adoption attempts we finally
decided to keep him ourself and allow
me to invest the time (and money) that
it will take to develop some of all that
talent and keep his busy mind better
occupied. We adopted him on August
26th, 2011.

Jinx has been tested on sheep and
was described as a natural. He does
the upright style.
Jinx is very nimble and powerful and likes to jump and
be up high and has great potential for agility. He
knows most of the obstacles and has been started on
runs just for fun.
