Amos was also a foster dog but we
kept him as Mark’s friend Bill’s dog
because we felt they would be
great for each other. Well, Bill
lives in the South and had to cancel
his planned trip to Idaho.
Meanwhile, Amos lived with us and
Mark grew to like him so much that
he adopted him. Amos was about 4
years at the time and that was in
2001.
He used to be rather touchy when
the other dogs went near him but he
has improved a lot. His one big
drawback is that he can be very
rough with cats and almost killed
Scribbit once, but when inside he
will sleep next to them and
generally leave them alone. As a
companion dog he is great because
he is calm, sensible, and mostly well
behaved... you wouldn’t think he was
a border collie mix....!
Over the years he has gone from
being quite submissive to the other
dogs to being the Alpha male,
especially with Jesse out of the
picture.
