Adoptions
We have no guinea pig rescue in the area and the Idaho Humane Society is the only place that takes in guinea pigs that I am
aware of. Our cavy club does not have the resources to start a rescue but we help out when we can and work with the IHS.

I am a volunteer with and provide foster care for the Idaho Humane Society, and am the primary foster mom for guinea pigs.
Adoptable animals are often shown on their
website, but you can inquire directly to me to see if I have any that haven't gotten
on there yet. There are frequently animals available at the shelter as well.

The adoption fee for guinea pigs is currently $5 since we have been swamped with small furry animals lately.

Tally & Izzy - Abysinnian/American sows.
These girls are lively and curious. At the
moment they are a little jumpy (I have been
away and they haven't been handled much)
but settle down when you hold them
confidently in your arms or lap while petting
them. They can be a bit bossy with new or
younger cage mates but are friendly and
accepting. I believe they are young adults -
Tally in particular may have a little more
growing to do.
